Dresscode for hot weather
In the event of extreme heat, the board may decide to implement the Heat Attire Policy.
This decision may vary depending on the day or activity. The Heat Attire Policy takes higher temperatures into account, allowing members to dress as comfortably as possible, while still maintaining appropriate representation of both the B.I.L. and Leiden University.

Shirt + Trousers
You are also free to opt for a combination of a shirt and trousers. The shirt should be light-coloured, and the trousers plain. The sleeves of the shirt should not be rolled up, and the shirt should be appropriately buttoned.

Dress/Skirt
The same requirements apply as in the regular dress code. However, it is allowed to opt for lighter colours and/or more breathable fabrics.

Shoes
Appropriate shoes should be worn with every outfit, in line with the regular dress code. If lace-up shoes are chosen, long socks must be worn. If slip-ons or loafers are worn, no visible socks are allowed. Open-toed shoes or espadrilles are not permitted.
Details
Each outfit must be worn with a B.I.L. tie or pin, matching the chosen attire.
